Crochet Pattern - Food Covers

or placemats...

Crochet Pattern - Food Covers

I've been crocheting hats for the past week but I had time over the weekend to have a play with my yarn and hooks and the result was these sweet food covers.  They provided me with the instant crochet gratification I was after...

Crochet Pattern - Sunglasses Case

Crochet Pattern - Sunglasses Case

While I was being distracted last week from my granny squares I came across this post by Meredith over at One Sheepish Girl and fell a little bit in love with her knitted sunglasses case. So with my lovely new wool I started playing around with stitches to create my own (crocheted) sunglasses case and this is what I came up with...

Crochet Pattern - Jubilee Crown

Crochet Pattern - Jubilee Crown

I wanted to crochet some Crowns for our Jubilee celebrations this weekend and I found some lovely crown patterns online but after making a few up they just didn't match what I had in my head. I didn't just want crowns I wanted a crown that reminded me of HRH Queen Elizabeth II...

Crochet - Flower Bookmark Pattern

Crochet - Flower Bookmark Pattern

I managed to write two crochet patterns last week and after all that mind exhaustion, and the fact I am still trying to shake my 'man' cold, I didnt really feel like crocheting much over the weekend.  But I have got a small project (even smaller than you will usually find here!) to share today...

Crochet - Collar Pattern

Crochet - Collar Pattern

I have finally finished writing out and taking photos for the crochet collar pattern I promised.  It's been completely mad here this week, we've had a birthday, a shower disaster resulting in some missing ceiling and I have a man cold and we all know how bad they can be!

Anyway it's finished and I really hope you enjoy making them...

Crochet - Granny Triangle Bunting Pattern

Crochet - Granny Triangle Bunting Pattern

After my last post I had a couple of requests for the pattern for my crochet Granny Bunting.  I hadn't posted it as I wasn't completely happy as they were doming slightly but I've gone back over it and made a few adjustments and they are better; although I think they will still need blocking...

Mice in a Tub - A Small Project

Crochet - Mouse Pattern

I've been very easily distracted this last week and have started several projects but over the weekend I was inspired by this post from Teen Granny and an article in Country Living Magazine featuring some mini felt match-box mice from 'The Homemade Home For Children' by Sania Pell; so I thought i'd have a go at some crochet mice...

Crochet Pattern - Coasters

A quick birthday gift

Crochet Pattern - Coasters

The chaos of Easter break is over, the children have gone back to school and Lulu and I are slipping back into a routine (I have a love/hate relationship with routine!) I have a couple of crochet projects on the go at the moment and I'm also working on a few orders but last night I stopped it all to make a little birthday gift for a friend.  I wanted to crochet her something pretty for her house and I'd seen lots of gorgeous coaster sets online so I had a look at some patterns and set out to make a set...

Crochet - An Easter Bonnet

...and a Mini Egg pattern!

Crochet - An Easter Bonnet

I've been working on decorating an Easter Bonnet for Lulu this week.  It's been a while since I've been able to do one as K has long outgrown the tradition and Oli refused point blank to wear a bonnet!  So I've had loads of fun crocheting little flowers and eggs to adorn her bonnet...

Crochet Pattern - Egg Cosy

My first pattern...

Crochet Pattern - Egg Cosy

I can't believe it's March already, it seems like only yesterday I was feeling that post Christmas drag and thinking Spring would be ages away - so Hooray for Spring!

I've been asked if I could make some egg cosies so I have been playing around with patterns. The first pattern I tried was from one of my books, it was a simple pattern but because of the yarn/hook I was using came out the size of a barbie hat (which is what it's now being used as) so I gave up and did my own thing instead...
