Elastic Band Wrists

Precious Memories

Lulu is the baby of the family and it is pretty much decided that she will remain so! So I have been enjoying every aspect of her infancy, but, and i suspect this is true of many youngest children, she is being influenced heavily by her older siblings and has raced ahead into toddlerdom and beyond.  This, as wonderful as it is to watch, makes me a little sad.

Sad because for every stage she moves into there will also be a final farewell to what she's left behind, cots, nappies, rattles, baby grows etc.  Sad because I will never again experience those first precious moments when you are handed your newborn, the baby you created, carried, longed for and dreamt about.  But as time moves forward I am also reminded frequently by my childrens presence to be thankful...

…Thankful that I have been blessed with three healthy and lovely children.  That I am able to love, comfort and guide them into adulthood. So I will try not to be sad, Im sure I’m not alone here, but tuck these precious memories away in the treasure chest of my heart only to be looked at when I need reminding that they will always be my babies.

And so, I wanted to share with you one of my favourite baby features (one that lulu still possesses for now); Elastic band wrists! Arent they perfect?

Also captured here is her newest self taught habbit of eating only the cream out of custard creams!

This reminded me of my brother and I, as children we used to pretend they were ice-cream vans and 'drive' them around the table humming the ice-cream van tune, then scooping out the centres!

There's no point trying to hide the evidence!

Bye for now.xx

oohh gosh how true, and though my 'baby' is now 7 I am occasionally confronted by a new grownupness which leads me to say a belated goodbye to another phase :( Thank you for reminding me to to notice them growing up and to be thankful or it x

Haha! I agree the best way to eat a custard cream is to scoop out the cream. I did when we were young and I still do. :P

Although sometimes I sandwich two cream sides together. haha
