Free Crochet Pattern - Penelope Scarf

A simple lacy aran weight scarf/wrap

Free Crochet Lacy Scarf Pattern | Lululoves Blog

Hello, hasn't it been the longest January EVER...I'm still not friends with January so I am so happy for February to finally be here. We woke up today to a blanket of snow which the children were thrilled about. I've spent some lovely cosy evenings in Jan crocheting these comforting scarf/wraps so I'm sharing the free pattern today...

I really love this scarf, it's just big enough to wear as a wrap and so snuggly to wear as a scarf. I love lacy projects, but this time of year it's all about being cosy and warm and I'm happy to say that by using aran weight yarn I've been able to achieve both!

The scarf is very simple, so perfect for beginners and it's only a two row repeat so once you've got it in your head it is the perfect TV project. I've made two so far and I'm already missing the comfort of working on it in the evening. If you'd like to see me chatting away about the design it's featured in episode 19 of my YouTube podcast here.

The pattern is easily adaptable so you dont need to worry about gauge and you can block if you really want to see those lacy stitches or leave it be...it's beautful both ways!

As always I've produced an inexpensive Ad free PDF version of this pattern which also includes a stitch diagram for the pattern. You can purchase the pdf on Ravelry here on Etsy here or Love Crochet here

Anyway, I really hope you enjoy it.

You can also make the scarf as long as you want by simply repeating rows 2 & 3.

There are photos to help below or a stitch diagram is included in the printable PDF.
