Lululoves Crochet Podcast Episode 2

{04.10.17}

I’ve done it  - I’ve filmed another episode of my vlog/podcast series. I have not yet managed to up my game in the filming department but if you would like to watch me waffle on for 25 minutes about my latest crochet projects and don’t mind me saying ‘um’ every other sentence then please have a watch...

You can watch the podcast here

The projects mentioned in episode two are:

Hotel of Bees Shawl by Christina Hadderingh

I’ve finished this beautiful shawl. I haven’t yet managed to take any photos of me wearing it. The yarn used for this project was Scrumptious 4ply by Fyberspates and it is deliciously soft!

Light Between Oceans ‘Courtship’ Shawl

I have finished making my shawl inspired by the film. It is currently my favourite thing in the whole world (besides family, friends, etc etc). I’m currently writing up the pattern for this one so it can go off to be tested.

Edit: you can now purchase the pattern Pdf for the Courtship Shawl on Ravelry or Etsy

New Items:

No new yarn really this time but I did purchase The Accessories Project by Joanne Scrace and Kat Goldin after seeing a beautiful pair of mittens made from it by Sam at BetsyMakes.  The patterns are just gorgeous and there are definitely a few more I’d like to make.

WIPs:

Not much on the WIP front as I’ve been busy finishing my shawls but I do speak briefly (and show samples of) about a hat for lulu and a potential jumper design that I’m playing with.  Currently not photo worthy I’m afraid.

Books

I’ve just finished reading The Power by Naomi Alderman. A great dystopian novel where women start to take control of the world after discovering they can electrocute people at will.

I think that’s about it really besides chatting away about what we’ve been watching on film and TV.

Oh and I also promised to have the bobble cushion pattern up on the blog next week – yay for giant bobbles!

Bye for now.
