What's In My Yarn Bag?

Simply Crochet Feature

I was very honoured to have some of my crochet collars featured in this months Simply Crochet magazine.  I made a couple of two-toned collars for them using some lovely Sidar Snuggly Baby Bamboo DK...

It's been over a year since I attempted to write the pattern for the shell collars so I had a bit of a re-write for the magazine and re-photographed some new step-by-step images. I really loved the way they styled the collars and I was so proud to see my name in the list of contributors. There are some gorgeous patterns in this issue - I was particularly taken by the bright clutch bag by Chiaki L'Argent and the beautiful framed petal motif by Lucy Croft, which could definitely inspire some future projects. :)

They also asked if I would like to write a short blog post about my crochet essentials for the Simply Crochet blog. I love reading these types of posts. There is nothing revolutionary in it but if (like me) you like to have a nose into fellow crafters bags pop over and have a look :)

Wow! I didn't put two and two together with the crochet collars, I've a copy of Simply Crochet and have popped this on my crochet 'to-do' list, they are great!
    Congrats on being featured.

Is this the same pattern as featured on your website? If so I have already made two of them and I haven't even opened my copy of Simply Crochet yet! I love them!

Your collar has become a crochet classic Em! I don't think I've ever come across a crochet-related board on Pinterest that doesn't have it pinned. I'm thrilled and not surprised you were asked to feature in Simply Crochet - absolutely well-deserved!

Your bag is so pretty and organised! I need to take a leaf out of your book, really I do. (Tell me you turfed out the grotty tissues and yarn bands first?!) I'm off now to google 'stitch counters' ...

PS. Thank you for your loveliest comment - made my day xx

Love looking through your Simply Crochet
Magazine but where do you purchase it and
how much does it cost for the year?
Don't understand the England cost printed on
the form? Is it $4.99 a year? Someone write
me back so I know the American price to order it. Thank, Helen

The price is £4.99 an issue - I'm not sure how that converts to dollars - sorry. You can subscribe and have it delivered or you can buy it digitally. There's more information on their website here: http://www.simplycrochetmag.co.uk/faqs/ Em x
