Crochet Pattern: Solstice Bunting

Hello! How is everyone? I must admit I’ve been a little off my crochet game recently, lockdown has got my head all fuddled! However, I have managed to crochet some more pretty bunting and I’m so happy to share the pattern for my Solstice Bunting with you…

This bunting came to life the way all the best projects do – It demanded to be made. I was inspired by the sun and how it can lift my whole mood. I’ve found the promise of summer even more alluring since lockdown began. So the weekend that the clocks changed here in the UK I began playing with my half sun shape, taking inspiration from some beautiful sunsets we’ve had here in the South West recently. I made mine in classic cream cotton but I have seen some amazing bunting over on IG in the most beautiful rainbow colours.

I’ve created a five-page PDF for this pattern that includes the written pattern (in UK crochet terms) and a visual guide which consists of step by step photos and a chart. I’ve found these smaller patterns have really helped me these past few weeks so I have made the pdf FREE for the first four weeks (until 25th May) and I’m so happy that it’s already been downloaded over 1000 times since I launched it over on Instagram. I’ve made some for the garden and both my daughters have now requested some, so that should keep me busy for a while!

The pattern can be downloaded here on Ravelry (don’t forget to log in to Ravelry if you want to save it in your library) and here on Love Crafts or here on Etsy. If you make some I’d love to see it, so feel free to tag me over on Instagram @Lululoves_uk or use the hashtag #solsticebunting and I’ll see it.

I hope May finds you safe and well, sending love (and hugs if you need them).

Bye for now,

Em xx
