Free Crochet Pattern – Sweetheart Pot Holder

Free Crochet Pattern - Sweetheart Pot Holder | Lululoves Crochet Blog #crochetpatterns #freecrochetpatterns

Oh hello, I’ve had hearts on the brain this past week and I wanted to create a little something to give a nod to the month of LOVE…

{11.02.19}

Of course hearts are not just for Valentines day, I think these super sweet pot holders would make perfect gifts for any time of year.

I’ve made them using aran weight cotton yarn. This wasn’t entirely planned, and explains the use of a 4mm hook in the pattern! But you could certainly try these with DK yarn or use a bigger hook, either way it’s no tragedy.

I’ll get a PDF version up in the next few days if you, like me, prefer to print your patterns.

I have already made three of these, they are a bit addictive once you get going. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

Round 3: Using yarn B, join yarn to corner stitch of top row, 3dc into corner st, 1dc in each st to next corner st, (2dc, ch10, sl st back into last dc worked, 1dc) into corner st to create hanging loop*, continue working around piece 1dc in each st, 3dc in each corner st, join with a sl st to first dc. Fasten off, weave in ends.

* If you do not wish to crochet a hanging loop you could work 3dc around a wooden ring. I use these ones.
