Lululoves Crochet Podcast
Eeeeek I did it! I have been wanting to try out some vlog style videos for a while now but with the house renovations taking priority its just not happened…well that and the fact that it’s extremely far from my comfort zone…
{Episode one}
Anyway, I’ve been watching some lovely crochet podcasts recently so I thought I would test the waters and give it a go. It’s not really talking that is the problem but more the technical side of things that I struggled with but I ignored the children for a day and tried to get my head around it.
I hope you’ll have a watch and let me know what you think. I’m afraid the lighting and sound aren’t perfect (or the editiing) but I’ll work on those if I find the courage to record again.
Just incase you don’t feel like watching me waffle on about my projects ang getting overly excited by giant bobbles I’ve listed my current WIPs below:
Crochet Mitts
I worked these gorgeous mitts up using some beautiful hand dyed Norah George yarn. The pattern is from the book Crocheted Gifts by Kim Werker. It’s a lovely simple pattern and the book includes sizes for women, men and children.

Heartbeat Ripple by Marie of ByMimZan
I think I wrote about this one back in April. As the evenings have started drawing in I’ve been enjoying the cosyness of working on a blanket again. Hopefully this will be finished in time for Christmas for Oli.

Giant Bobbles Cushion
I’m in love with this stitch pattern to make these supersize bobbles. I’ve made this cushion using some Sheepjes Big Roma and it’s stunning. I’m currently writing up the pattern to put here on the blog for anyone who would like to try it.

Hotel of Bees Shawl by Christina Hadderingh
I’m a bit late to the party on this one as I miss the CAL that CherryHeart and BetsyMakes hosted earlier in the year. I’ve just started making the shawl and I am loving it. I think this one should be finished within the next week.
Light Between Oceans Shawl
This is a design that I’m working on for a big chunky shawl inspired by the film. In the podcast I go into more details about the design process for this shawl but I think I’ve cracked the pattern bit and now I get to enjoy making it!

I talk briefly about cake yarn in the podcast…well really just about me buying it! So I though I’d share this photo of my Virus Shawl. I made this earlier in the year with one of the Caron Cakes and I absolutely loved it, the pattern and the yarn. I would definitely like to make more of these but you know…time!

Anyway I think that’s all for now. Not much of a post I’m afraid but I promise to be back soon.
Bye for now.
Em xx
