Crochet – Potholders
Hello and Happy Friday! I’ve been compiling a little inventory of WIPs this week and beside realising I have started way more projects than I’ve time to finish I’ve also found projects that I’ve finished and haven’t yet shared. So today I thought I’d pop in to show you some cute potholders that I completed earlier this year….
{29.09.17}
I came across these potholders on Pinterest and was drawn to the embroidered flower pattern. Sometimes I pick a project because I want it myself and others because I’m intrigued by the technique or pattern. As it happens these were really simple. The potholders and constructed in a filet crochet stitch pattern and then the embroidery is added after. I really love the effect so I made two! I used two colours of dk cotton worked together for the embroidery to really make the flowers stand out. This is such a lovely technique I think it would be great on all sorts of projects.
If I’m honest, I don’t really use potholders but I think these will look beautiful on display 😉

The link to the free pattern I found is here if you fancy trying them for yourself.
In other news I have been busying myself with my Light Between Oceans shawl or the LBO as I’ve been calling it and it is finally finished… I’m so happy with the way it has turned out. I’m going to get this one written up and tested asap but I’m really looking forward to sharing it.

Anyway, another short and sweet post but you know WIPS to finish 😉
Bye for now.
Em xx
