Crochet Pattern: Courtship Shawl
Hello! I am back today with a pattern release…I had totally forgot how much work goes into these pattern pdfs and have spent the last two days sat at my computer trying to make every thing look pretty. The pattern I’m releasing today is my Light Between Oceans inspired Courtship Shawl…
{23.11.17}
I am so in love with this shawl, and so is everyone who has made it and even some who haven’t but just think that their mum’s wardrobe is an open door 😉 Anyway, I think I’ve spoken a lot already about the inspiration and design process for this shawl in my podcasts so I won’t bore you again. But if you are looking for a gorgeous, long, chunky and warm shawl to see you through the colder months and you are inclined to romantic notions of seaside walks, festivals or autumn outdoor gatherings this may be the shawl for you. Of course the romantic notions are optional because this is indeed a practical shawl too.
I love that the shawl is so long (it hangs at just over 1m without tassels), it means that the weight of it keeps it firmly on my shoulders and if I do need to shorten it I just fold the top edge over and wear it shorter and there it stays…simple.
The 6-page pattern pdf includes a 2-page visual guide for helping with the beginning of rows, the edging and tassels. I hope if you try it you will enjoy making it as much as I have.
You can purchase the pattern pdf here on Ravelry or Etsy
Bye for now. Em xx
