Crochet: Diamonds and Bobbles Jumper
Hello! We’re getting to that time of year again…you know the one where you feel like you’re forever chasing your tail and all you really want to do is eat mince pies and watch Christmas movies in front of the fire! I totally forgot to put up show notes from my last podcast but since I only really spoke about my own work I don’t feel too bad. I did promise to take some photos of my newly finished Diamonds and Bobbles jumper and I finally managed yesterday evening just as the light was disappearing…
{10.11.17}

I am so happy with the way the jumper turned out. Although I had started with the idea of a boxy-cropped jumper I ended up changing mid make to a longer length because of the filet and bobble pattern I wanted to use. I added some lovely puffed (balloon?) style sleeves, which I am obsessed with. My eldest very kindly modelled for these photos although sadly it lost me my beloved jumper as once she had it on she refused to take it off…so now it has become ‘our’ jumper!
If you would like to see me way too excited about the finished jumper (and some bad modelling of it) you can watch episode 4 of the podcast here… I’m also talking about the tea cosy and coasters from my last post, another cowl, a shawl update and TV and books I’ve been enjoying.
I worked this jumper up with around 400g of aran acrylic/wool mix so it came in costing around £12. I think that’s pretty amazing. I’ve had lots of lovely feedback over on Instagram about the pattern and it is one I plan to release into my much-neglected Ravelry/Etsy stores. I’m currently writing up a pattern for it whilst making up another one in Drops Nepal.
*Edit* The pattern for my Diamonds and Bobbles Jumper is now live in my Ravelry and Etsy stores!

Anyway that’s it for today, I will be back next week with another podcast.
Bye for now. Em xx
