We celebrated Oli’s 7th birthday this year with a walk and a cream tea at Stourhead. Just us. It was sunny and very hot, like the day he was born, but the walk down to the lake was beautifully shady…

and a seventh birthday

It was a perfectly simple way to celebrate and even sweeter as it had been his idea. 

We wandered…

and pottered…

stopped to take in the beautiful views…

sat for tea and ice-creams…

and marveled at how time passes so quickly.
