Summer Lovin’
Hello – It’s been a while! I’ve spent the summer enjoying being home with the children. We’ve enjoyed a week in Cornwall with some beautiful weather (for a change), weddings, family celebrations and a lot of just hanging out 😉
Cornwall {2013}
I missed writing and interacting here over the holidays but I have lots to share in the next few weeks. For now I thought I’d post some of our holiday snaps to keep me smiling while I get my head around the fact that my baby has started school, STARTED SCHOOL! *Deep long sigh*
We spent a week in Marazion, West Cornwall. We were prepared for bad weather, wellies were packed and we had a list of waterproof places to visit. Happily the sun surprised us and we spent most of our holiday on the beautiful beaches of St Ives.

The children were so excited to arrive – we’d only been out of the car for five minutes before they were in the sea

We stayed in a cottage just a short walk from the beautiful St Michaels Mount. We took one of the boat tours around the small island…

spent happy hours exploring the causeway and castle…

and evenings walking along the beach amidst the most beautiful sunsets.

We managed to visit the Tate at St Ives and the Island before the lure of the beach became too much. Most of the holiday snaps are variations of the following shenanigans:

These were taken at Porthmeor, which had waves that were perfect for body boarding and running from!

The other beach we loved was Porthminster, which is more sheltered with calmer sea – perfect for swimming in. It also had brilliant facilities and a gorgeous restaurant. I’m not usually too worried about facilities and activities when at the beach but there was something so indulgent about being able to enjoy a fresh cappuccino on the beach with a book.

Lulu took part in a giant tug of war :))

We spent our final evening at Lands End – where we took in the amazing views until dusk when the sky was filled with fireworks.

And yes we all took turns trying on the glasses!

Happy days and happy nights 🙂
Hope you all had a lovely summer.
Em xx
